Deciding on the Moon instead of waiting on Earth.

A round trip to Earth takes about two and a half seconds at best, and far longer when relays and scheduling are involved. Autonomous vehicles, robotic construction and safety systems cannot wait for that loop.

Compute and data are the layer that moves decisions closer to the hardware. As sensors multiply, the ability to store, process and route data on or near the Moon becomes infrastructure in its own right.

Every second of delay is a decision that has to be made locally.
